Highlands Fire, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office along with Coconino Search and Rescue responded to the Oak Creek Overlook South of Flagstaff on Highway 89A yesterday afternoon for an injured climber. Officials say the climber fell approximately 20 feet and was rescued from the mid slope area using a coordinated rope rescue system. The person was then transferred to FMC for treatment of traumatic injuries.
