9/21 Grand Canyon National Park officials hope to have water restored to the south rim of the canyon by November 16-th. Officials hope to have water flowing from the Bright Angel Creek intake to the new water treatment plant. They hope to pump water from the new station by Thanksgiving. Officials say once the pumps start pulling water from the Bright Angel Creek, it will take about 45-days to fully fill the water storage tanks. In the meantime, Stage-4 water restrictions remain in effect. The water system was severely damaged during flash flood events on August 29-th and this past week.
