6/11 The Camp Verde Marshal’s Office is warning the public about the rise in Bitcoin scams. Scammers make contact by phone, email, or text, claiming you owe money, have a warrant, or have won a prize and then pressure you to pay using Bitcoin. No legitimate agency will demand payment in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. If you receive a request like this, contact your local law enforcement agency.
