6/04 Verde Valley Fire District says the fire they responded to in Clarkdale Tuesday, was fatal. Officials say they arrived at the home and found it difficult to access due to the number of stored belongings and materials on the property. Several local fire agencies worked together to keep the fire from spreading, which for the most part was accomplished. Once the fire was out, a deceased individual was found inside. What caused the fire remains under investigation.
