In-Person Support Meetings for Families With Incarcerated Loved Ones

The Yavapai County Detention Center (YCDC), in collaboration with Prison  Families Alliance (PFA) is pleased to announce the launch of in-person support meetings for families who have incarcerated loved ones.

The first family support meeting was held on February 1st, 2024, and by the number of hugs, tears, laughter, and stories shared amongst the group, it was a success!  The goal of these gatherings is to offer a welcoming environment where families can connect with others who are facing similar circumstances in having a loved one in incarceration.  Creating a space for peer support that fosters an atmosphere of empathy, understanding, and acceptance encourages the cultivation of lasting bonds within the community. The YCDC Library, open to attendees, also offers a wealth of resources for purchase or lend to assist individuals navigate their journey of having an incarcerated loved one.

This support group is open to anyone with an incarcerated loved one anywhere, or at any time.  Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of every month at 6:30pm in the Visitation building at the YCDC, 2830 N Commonwealth Dr, Camp Verde, AZ 86322.
