On January 30th, 2024, the Prescott Police Department made an arrest of Jessica Anderson, a 40-year-old Prescott Valley resident, and part owner of Anderson Asphalt Service and Contracting LLC, after a lengthy investigation.

Multiple victims had reported to the Prescott Police Department that between January of 2022 and August of 2023, Anderson Asphalt had received payments to perform work that was not completed.  It was also reported that other work was completed by subcontractors of Anderson Asphalt who were then never paid for their work.  The investigation revealed forged documents that were used to assist in the fraud scheme.  The total amount defrauded from the victims in this case was approximately $30,000.

Jessica Anderson was booked into the Yavapai County Prescott Jail for the charges of fraudulent schemes, forgery, and criminal impersonation.  The case has also been forwarded to the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office for further review of charges against the other owner of the business.

Arizona Registrar of Contractors assisted in this investigation and had also received a complaint related to this investigation.   The contractor’s license for Anderson Asphalt Service and Contracting LLC was revoked in April of 2023.
