A major infrastructure enhancement project will take place along South Broadway from Feb. 20 through June 18. Construction will begin where the sidewalk currently ends near Peace Garden Path, up to the Cottonwood city limits. The road will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, reopening each evening. Please expect traffic delays in the area during construction. The project encompasses new pavement, bike lanes, curb, gutter, and a sidewalk along one side of the road. The project aims to improve safety and accessibility for all road users.
This project has been partially funded with a NACOG HURF Exchange grant through NACOG and the Arizona Department of Transportation. Local funds will be utilized for the balance of the project costs.
