The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane restrictions on State Route 87 between Clints Well and Winslow beginning Monday, Sept. 18, through Thursday, Sept. 21.
Drivers should allow for extra travel time while the following daytime restrictions are in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
SR 87 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between mileposts 290 – 317. On-site flaggers and a pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone.
A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. (Wide loads can be accommodated with advance notice).
The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
Crews will be working in 2- to 3-mile segments at one time.
The restrictions are needed so crews can safely complete pavement improvements along this section of SR 87.
