PUSD Will Host a Special Meeting Tomorrow

Tomorrow, the Prescott Unified School District Governing Board will host a special meeting beginning at 5 p.m. where they will review and vote on a new K-12 science curriculum. The recommended curriculum is divided between grade groups with a district committee composed of teachers, administrators, a parent and board members selecting text and other materials provided by two companies, McGraw-Hill for the elementary grades and Savvas for middle school and high school studies. In June, the committee presented the board with their recommendations, highlighting the interactive and creative lessons that will engage students at all levels. This will be the first time since 2006 the district has been able to purchase curriculum.
