To celebrate Earth Day and the public debut of Flagstaff’s first electric bus, Mountain Line will be fare-free on Saturday. The City of Flagstaff is hosting its annual Earth Day community event at Bushmaster Park 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to use alternate forms of transportation to get there, including biking, taking the bus, and walking. Bushmaster Park can be accessed by Mountain Line’s Route 2, Stops 11 and 20 at Lockett Rd. and Alta Vista Dr. Mountain Line will participate in the Earth Day event, showing off the agency’s first electric bus before it officially goes into service on April 26. Attendees can get a sneak peek at the future of transportation in Flagstaff and learn more about this exciting technology.
