The Prescott Valley Town Council held its third study session regarding water resource management strategy. The Arizona Department of Water Resources Fifth Management Plan for the Prescott Active Management area is something Prescott Valley will be backing by initiating steps towards using water supplies resourcefully as well as developing ways to replace existing groundwater usage with alternative supplies. An in addition, finding a balance between the annual amounts of groundwater removed in the Active Management Areas (AMA) as opposed to the yearly amount of natural as well as artificial recharge was also discussed.
