The Town of Camp Verde may reopen Verde Lakes Drive today. The road, the main access into the community, has been closed since March when flooding ripped out part of the roadway and asphalt. Residents have had to drive around the main thruway to get to their homes. Camp Verde Public Works said Verde Lakes Drive has remained closed because of the threat of future flooding.
Reopening still depends on the weather and the West Clear Creek level.
They are using AB gravel to set up the road but will look into a permanent fix. The Town wants to see if they will get any relief funding from the flooding damage last month.
