The City of Prescott’s offer, top city manager choice Kathryn Gregory reportedly has verbally agreed to take on the job that was vacated in February by former Prescott City Manager Michael Lamar.
Mayor Phil Goode said Gregory had notified the city earlier that day that she was accepting the job of Prescott city manager. Her starting date will be May 8. Gregory has worked in a variety of management positions for the City of Peoria since 2000, the last five years of which were as deputy city manager. Gregory was one of four finalists that the City Council interviewed in late March.
After the City Council identified her as the top choice, Goode said Gregory asked for a week to consider the offer.
