Wildfire Burns in Cottonwood

Us Forest Service and other crews have been on site at a fire at Tuzigoot national monument, yesterday flames and smoke were visible across the verde valley, and the fire continues to burn today.

No word on what started the fire, but crews are expecting winds up to 60 miles per hour today and are still onsite attempting to fight the fire.

Please exercise caution around Tuzigoot national monument and dead horse ranch state park while first responders are on scene. Check the Yavapai Broadcasting Facebook page for updates throughout the day.

And remember, one less spark, one less wildfire.
