Dignity Yavapai to Close Pendelton Center Fitness Program

Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center will be closing down its Pendleton Center 30-year adult fitness program on both its Prescott and Prescott Valley campuses as a means of streamlining services to address hospital financial struggles. Friday, YRMC offered more specifics about its plans given an announcement on Wednesday that hospital leadership was looking at programs to consolidate or reduce, along with staff adjustments, to assure it is able to continue providing other critical medical care services at the two hospital campuses. The prior news release stated that this “financial stewardship” move would impact less than 1% of its staff the hospital has over 2,000 employees and all would be offered other open positions within the hospital that meet their qualifications.

  1. This program had the very best Physical therapy person working this program. They really cared about their health and could instruct each person of what would help them most. It’s sad for the community not to have this. What are called senior centers now and Gym can not meet any of the quilification that this program had. Of personal working these centers.
