Granville Elementary School parents expected a far easier drop-off and pick-up as they will no longer be competing with school bus traffic during morning and afternoon hours. Thanks to a two-acre land swap between Humboldt Unified School District and the Granville housing developer the school will have a looping bus access road. The lane extends from Santa Fe Loop road to the rear east side of the school, eliminating the need for bus drivers to navigate the Granville subdivision during peak travel and school hours. Granville Principal Patricia Scarpa said the bus lane will be exclusively for buses, with gates to lock out any other traffic between morning and afternoon pick-up and drop-off hours.
