Wednesday morning, Prescott Valley Police responded to a fatal vehicle vs pedestrian collision, just east of Fain Road on Highway-69. Officials say the pedestrian, 64-year old Stephen Fernandez of Flagstaff, died in the crash. The driver in the delivery truck was not injured. The incident remains under investigation, but impairment does not appear to be a factor. Fernandez was walking across the darkened highway for unknown reasons and was not in a crosswalk.
