ADOT is reminding visitors headed north to play in the snow that parking along the I-17 or Highway-180 in Flagstaff is prohibited. Officials say this creates a hazard; other drivers may be distracted by your vehicle, other drivers may pull over, compounding the problem and your vehicle may interfere with first responders who need to use the shoulders and other designated entrances. DPS and the Coconino County Sheriffs Office patrol these areas and are writing citations to those in violation.
