Yavapai Apache Police Sgt. Preston Brogdon improving after being shot Feb. 9

YCSO released an update on the Yavapai Apache Police Officer shot February 9-th. Sgt. Preston Brogdon remains in stable condition and is improving each day. Brogdon was shot in the abdomen during a call in the Tunlii housing area on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation. Officials say he’s gone through several surgeries to repair the damage, but will not undergo a surgery to repair his shattered pelvis or hip; he’ll be transferred to a rehabilitation facility. A person of interest in the shooting, 39-year old Valentin Rodriguez, has not been located. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
