Thursday afternoon, DPS responded to westbound I-40 about 27-miles from Flagstaff for an injury collision involving 3-vehicles and a passenger van. The investigation revealed that traffic was stopped because of construction in the area. A commercial vehicle failed to stop and struck another vehicle from the rear. That vehicle then collided with the passenger van which struck another car. The driver believed to have started the collision was flown to the FMC, where he was later treated and released for minor injuries.
