ADOT says drivers should plan for lane restrictions on southbound I-17 south of Flagstaff starting Tuesday, as a project to install fiber optic cable begins along the roadway. Restrictions are in place from 6-am-to-6-pm Mondays through Thursdays and 6-am-to-noon on Fridays. Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between mileposts 333 and 337 through Friday. The project, which is expected to continue through mid-2022, will work its way south along I-17 in segments of three to five miles per week.
