Central Arizona Fire, Prescott Fire, Prescott National Forest and local agencies say Stage-1 Fire Restrictions will begin this Friday at 8-am. Central Arizona Fire Marshal Rick Chase says residential burn permits will not be issued. Use of model rockets, fireworks or other pyrotechnic displays are prohibited except by commercial special events permit and smoking outside of vehicles, residential yards, or outside of designated smoking areas are also prohibited. Chase says there will be no outdoor use of firearms. He says cooking, warming, or camp fires are allowed at single and multi-family residential properties and parks when approved. Never leave a fire unattended and always have a fire extinguisher or bucket of water on hand. Be sure to check with your local fire agency for fire restrictions in your area.
