Weather service storm update

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says a fast moving storm system will bring gusty south to southwest winds Wednesday followed by rain and high elevation snow Wednesday through early Thursday morning. Officials say a red flag warning has been issued to Yavapai County until 6-pm Wednesday. A wind advisory has also been issued for Yavapai and Coconino Counties until 6-pm for strong south to southwest wind gusts up to 40-mph. Showers will develop Wednesday night with rain and snow through Thursday morning. Showers should diminish by midday Thursday with light snow accumulations for areas above 6,000-feet.
