Sedona encourages residents to reach out to elected officials in the Arizona House of Representatives as House Bill-2481 waits to be scheduled for a vote by the entire House before moving to the Senate and if passed there, eventually Governor Doug Ducey. The bill is pending legislation that modifies the list of regulations that cities and towns are authorized to impose on vacation rentals. Going forward, it would allow cities to limit short-term rentals in zoning areas. It also would allow cities to enforce an occupancy limit on each rental. Residents who would like to give input on the bill should contact members of the Arizona House of Representatives.
