ADOT will use an innovative method to slide the new Fourth Street bridges over I-40 in Flagstaff into place later this month, cutting construction by months. Officials say installing the new bridges will require the closure of Fourth Street over I-40 beginning at 8-pm Friday. Work will continue over the next couple of weeks and should be completed by August 3-rd. Workers used hydraulic jacks to lift and move the new Bellemont bridges at I-40 and Hughes Avenue west of Flagstaff into place after the old ones were demolished.
