Wednesday morning, YCSO stopped a vehicle on I-40 near Ash Fork for an unsafe lane change. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says contact was made with 35-year old Tyrel Fann of New Mexico. A total of 84-pounds of marijuana were found in the vehicle. Nearly $10,000 was found on Fann and it was taken as evidence too. He’s being held on a $40,000 bond. While speaking with Fann, the deputy could smell the odor of fresh marijuana coming from the cargo area of the SUV. Fann was unusually nervous during the conversation and deceptive when questioned about his travel itinerary and the marijuana odor inside the SUV.
