YCSO identified the victim of a plane crash that occurred on December 13-th. 23-year old Mingwei Du (Ming-Whey DUE) of China and student at Phoenix University was identified as the victim in the crash. A rancher found remnants of a fixed wing single engine type plane crash off of Flower Pot Road in Dewey-Humboldt, southeast of I-17 and Highway-169. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the crash appeared to be a couple days old and Du’s body was found at the site. The identification update was delayed in order to locate family in his home country of China.
