More rain and snow on the way/Winter Weather Advisory Thursday night through Saturday morning

More rain and snow is in the forecast. The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from this evening through 5-am Saturday morning for elevations above 5000-feet. Expect scattered snow showers to develop later this afternoon, then becoming steadier snow this evening. Snow will be heavy at times overnight and through early Friday. Snow showers will continue during the day Friday, slowly tapering off Friday night. Total snow accumulations generally ranging from 2-to-6-inches from 5000-to-6000-feet, 4-to-10-inches above 6000-feet, with localized amounts from 12-to-16-inches. This includes areas near Doney Park, Flagstaff, Forest Lakes, Heber-Overgaard, Payson, Pine, Strawberry and Williams. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
