Storm update for Christmas Eve Day

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place until 11-pm tonight for elevations above 6,500-feet. The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says motorists should plan for difficult travel conditions through at least Christmas night. Additional snow accumulations of 2-to-9-inches, with localized amounts up to 20-inches over the San Francisco Peaks, are expected. This includes areas near Doney Park, Flagstaff, Forest Lakes, Fredonia, Grand Canyon, Heber-Overgaard, Jacob Lake, North Rim, Valle and Williams. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. Check ADOT for the latest road conditions.
