Sedona Fire responded to the area of the “Saddle” on Cathedral Rock in Sedona Sunday evening regarding a hiker suffering from a medical emergency. Battalion Chief Jordan Baker says crews hiked in to the patient and determined it would be best to use DPS Ranger Helicopter to fly the patient out of the area. He says the patient was then taken to a nearby fire station where an ambulance was waiting. Baker says the patient refused further care and left with family who said they were going to a Phoenix area hospital for further treatment and care.
