Prescott Police responded to a call of a DUI driver entering the city on White Spar Road Saturday night. Lt Jon Brambila says officers found a vehicle matching the description in the 500-block of South Montezuma Street. He says the driver eventually stopped at which time officers tried to make contact with 46-year old William Quillin of Chino Valley. Quillin locked the vehicle doors and refused to talk to officers. He was also searching for something in his vehicle, which turned out to be a marijuana pipe. He says the suspect refused to listen to commands to exit the vehicle and eventually fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Brambila says during the pursuit, Quillin nearly struck several pedestrians. He did crash into another vehicle head-on and then into two roundabouts on Highway-89 as he drove towards Chino Valley. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody.
