The National Weather Service in Bellemont released the July weather stats. Officials say July was warmer and much drier than normal for most of Northern Arizona. There were a few exceptions where thunderstorms developed, but the monsoon was slow to start in general. Some locations were in the top 10-driest July’s. It was Prescott’s 16-th driest, Payson’s 12-th and it was Flagstaff’s 8-th driest July. Bellemont received the most precipitation in July with 1.37-inches with Prescott picking up 1.12-inches. Cottonwood was the hot-spot in July with an average daytime high of 103-degrees.
