The Woodbury Fire burning northwest of Superior has some containment established. Tonto National Forest officials say the fire is now 6% contained with over 40,600-acres burned. The human caused fire has been burning since June 8-th. Officials say they’ve implemented a closure of the area around the perimeter of the fire with barriers put in place. In addition, Highway-88 is closed from Needle Vista east to the junction of Highway-88 and Highway-188. This includes Tortilla Flat, Canyon Lake, Apache Lake and campsites along Apache Lake.
