Arizona Statewide DUI Enforcement statistics for the Cinco de Mayo weekend.

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety has released the Arizona Statewide DUI Enforcement statistics for the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Officials say over the three day period, almost 2,000 officers conducted over 9,300 traffic stops. That total is just 700 stops more than last year. Of those 415 were DUI related, up by 90 over last year. Of those 59-were Aggravated, 356-Misdemeanor, 120-Extreme, 6-for Under-21 and 124 DUI Drugs. Officers issued 246-seat-belt citations, only a handful more than last year, with 56-child restraint violations. Criminal Speed violations were up over 35% from last year for a total of 140. Civil speed numbers dropped 1% from last year for a total of 1,659.
