The Lakeside Ranger District, on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, will be conducting prescribed burns totaling 2,771 acres within Butler, Butler West, and Section 20 Tank Units of the Los Burros broadcast burn area two to four miles south of Vernon starting Monday and continuing through Sunday. Motorists are reminded to obey all traffic signs and use caution while traveling within the vicinity of the prescribed fire burn units as firefighters and fire-related traffic may be in the area.
