Prescott Police released additional information into the murder of 77-year old Sandra Aven. Lead Officer Dave Fuller says the victim had been deceased longer than initially thought. He says it’s now believed the victim was killed in late 2016 and not 2017 as originally reported. The Yavapai County Medical Examiner also confirmed that the body was that of Sandra Evans and next of kin was notified. Fuller says the medical examiner also determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma. Sandra’s daughter, 46-year old Tara Aven and Tara’s daughter, 24-year old Briar Aven are charged with her murder. The women lived adjacent to the victim and allegedly cashed her monthly checks after the murder.
