Friday evening, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a hit and run collision in the 1400 block of East Butterfield Road, in Prescott. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the victim told deputies he heard a loud crashing sound at his fence line and found his fence had been knocked over. Also, a boulder had been hit and moved some distance. A witness told deputies while inside his house he heard a loud crashing sound, followed by tires spinning and loud exhaust. No one actually saw the vehicle drive away. D’Evelyn says deputies checked the area, but could not locate the suspect vehicle. The damaged is estimated around $1000. D’Evelyn says a vehicle part left at the scene identifies the vehicle as possibly a Dodge Durango RT or SRT, and suggests the vehicle sustained significant damage.
