Storm still on track to impact Arizona this afternoon and tonight

The National Weather Service says we can expect gusty southwest winds to continue today before decreasing and turning northwest tonight and tomorrow. A cold front is moving across the region, with areas of rain and snow spreading from west to east this afternoon, through early Wednesday. Dry and warmer conditions will return Wednesday afternoon, lasting into at least the early part of the weekend. Many areas will see light precipitation from this event, with some areas along and south of the Mogollon Rim seeing moderate precipitation this evening and overnight. Snowfall will generally remain above 7,000 feet with accumulating snow staying above 8,000 feet.
