Embry-Riddle Professor involved in deadly helicopter crash.

Professor and Helicopter Program Chair Rucie Moore has died as a result of injuries sustained in a private helicopter crash on Tuesday near Fountain Hills. Prior to that, he spent five years as an adjunct professor for both the Embry-Riddle Prescott and Worldwide campuses. In addition, Moore has also been a member of the College of Aviation’s Industry Advisory Board. Prior to Embry-Riddle, Moore was a decorated helicopter test pilot for the U.S. Army.
