Intoxicated man struck by a train in Flagstaff Tuesday evening.

Yesterday, early evening, Flagstaff Police received a 911 call for a subject who was struck by a train at Route 66 and Fanning Drive. Officials say a male subject was struck on the south side of the tracks by an east-bound train. All indications are the crossings arms and warning bells were working properly. They say the intoxicated victim suffered a possible broken arm and was transported to FMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection was shut down for about 30 minutes while the collision was investigated. Police remind citizens to remain observant around crossing locations, and to obey the warning bells and crossing arms when they are down.
