Jerome Fire receives over a half-a-million dollars in FEMA grant money.

Jerome Fire Department recently received over a half-a-million dollars in FEMA grant money. Chief Rusty Blair says Tuesday night, the Jerome Town Council approved the expenditures for the purchase of 12 new air packs at a cost of $93,000.00 and a new type one engine for $439,000.00. Blair says the town was required to match %5 of the funds, which came to $24,000. Blair says the engine is due to arrive in Phoenix this weekend and a traditional push in ceremony will be scheduled for the end of the month.
