Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has appointed Mark Richardson to the Mayer School District Governing Board. The appointment expires at the end of December, 2020. The seat was vacant due to the resignation of Melissa May, who successfully ran for the seat in the 2018 election cycle but decided not to take office. Richardson has been a resident of Cordes Lakes for many years and has served on the Mayer School District Governing Board for an extended period. He decided not to seek re-election and then applied for the appointment when it came available.
