Occupied vehicle ends up in the Verde River.

Saturday afternoon, Clarkdale Police received a report of a vehicle partially submerged in the Verde River at the Tuzigoot River Access Point. Sgt. Nicole Florisi says upon arrival, officers found a tow truck was already at the scene, and that the driver and passenger had already left. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, 51-year old Village of Oak Creek resident, Vasilj Lazic, ( Vah-silg Lah-zik), who stated he thought he had put his vehicle in park, but instead he left it in gear and it rolled off the embankment. Some bystanders helped Lazic and a passenger out of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lazic was not cited.
