Multiple engines from Central Arizona Fire responded to a house fire in Lynx Mountain View Estates, in Prescott Valley Sunday afternoon. Fire Marshal Rick Chase says crews responded to the 700 block of North Tubac Road. Water had to be shuttled to the fire by water tenders and pumped up the long narrow road and driveway by a series of fire engines as engine access was difficult in the steep terrain. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the brush surrounding the house though it took two hours to contain the fire. Both occupants of the house were able to escape however the house was a total loss. Chase says the fire was caused by a problem with the wood stove. Prescott Fire and YCSO also assisted.
