ADOT officials say they began seeing heavy traffic and backups in both directions due to crashes and snow on the road between south of Munds Park and Highway 179 by 2-pm today. Officials say a single vehicle rollover caused a lane closure early in the afternoon and was followed by multiple slide offs in the area. Snow covered and icy roads combined with speeds too high for the conditions were most likely the cause. Drivers are being asked to slow down and drive with extreme caution.
