Authorities say the life of the man brutally attacked a few weeks ago with a piece of wood may have been saved by two people camping nearby

On September 8th, 41-year old David Pearsall walked into a campsite near Drake and attacked a man, causing serious injuries. Central Arizona Fire Assistant Fire Marshal Andy Smith says, fortunately, the victim wasn’t alone at the campsite.Central Arizona Fire and Medical Fire Fighter/EMT Ethan Hutchinson and Yavapai College Fire Science Trainer Makayla Baker were camping nearby and heard his cries for help. They rendered aid and drove the victim to the highway where he was then flown to FMC for treatment. He is expected to fully recover thanks to the immediate aid. Medical authorities say Hutchinson and Bakers quick actions may have saved the victims life. Pearsall turned himself into authorities last weekend and has since been released on bond.
