Jerome Fire responded to three motor vehicle accidents over the weekend

Jerome Fire responded to three motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. Chief Rusty Blair says Saturday crews were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle near the lookout above Jerome. The driver lost control and hit a guardrail. His female passenger sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Blair says crews also responded to an ATV that went off the road and over the side, landing 15 feet below Forest Trail 104. The driver was injured but refused medical attention. Sunday, crews responded for a motorcycle that had struck an RV on Highway 89A below town near Clarkdale. One person was flown to FMC with serious injuries and the other was transferred to VVMC for treatment. The RV sustained minimal damage. Blair says this crash caused a considerable traffic back up.
