Yavapai Silent Witness keeps over 15 million dollars’ worth of drugs of the streets

The Yavapai Silent Witness program continues to be a success. Program Director Steve Skurja says since the program began back in July 1982, tips to YSW have led to the arrest of 3621 felons, helped recover almost $2-million dollars’ worth of stolen property and seized from the streets of Yavapai County over $15-million dollars’ worth of illegal drugs. Skurja says YSW has paid over $525,000.00 in cash rewards to tipsters. Skurja says since the “Catch 22” program began back in May 1997, there have been 86-high profile felons apprehended and Yavapai Silent Witness has paid those tipsters a total of $43,000.00 in cash rewards. Anyone with information about a felony crime in Yavapai County is encouraged to call Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. Callers never have to give their name and if the information leads to the arrest of a felon a cash reward will be offered.
