A massive improvement project on Highway-89A has been officially completed. Spokesperson Kristin Darr says the Highway-89A reconstruction project between the Vista Overlook at the top of the switchbacks in Oak Creek Canyon to JW Powell Boulevard in Flagstaff has been declared officially done. 8-miles of the highway were completely redone, including wider lanes and better drainage. The project also included the removal of many dead trees along the highway.
