Monday, Flagstaff Fire crews were dispatched to assist Game and Fish, along with Flagstaff Police’s animal control unit to rescue a bear that was in a tree near Coconino Community College. Fire crews used a tarp to catch the bear after it was tranquilized by Game and Fish. The bear was not injured, and was evaluated and released into a better location.
